Please Read

When placing an order for a custom kimono, please keep in mind that I am a designer and that if you have something you want done that needs to be 100% specific then please seek a seamstress for that because these customs are a COLLABORATION between us and I have creative control over the piece but you are my guide for colors/textures/vibes; I will never make something that I can’t vibe with or be proud of so please identify the difference between a custom order through a designer and a cut and sew job by a seamster!

Yay! Now that you have decided you want a custom kimono its time to follow these steps-

1. Please send me photos of colors, textures, and any other inspo images so that I can catch a vibe! The more descriptive you are, the better! You can also attach your social media so I can get a glimpse of who you are! I also require a deposit before I can start sourcing fabrics.

2. After we have this understanding of the colors/vibe, I will send you photos of fabric options for you to approve! If you approve of a fabric and then change your mind and want to switch, you will be charged a fee because at that point I have already gone and purchased the initial fabric that was approved and cut it so this fee covers the cost of the new fabric in addition to my design time.

One fabric switch- $30

Two fabric switches- $60

Three fabric switches- $90

Four fabric switches- $120

3. After everything is approved it takes approximately 1-2 weeks for the kimono to be made since my studio is very busy! If you need it rushed then there is a $40 rush fee to accommodate both the studio’s and my time since fair wages are a huge priority for everyone involved.

Total prices vary depending on fabric choices and whether a T-shirt is being used or not. On average the kimonos are about $135

FOR DJ/BAND KIMONOS

I do NOT provide the shirts used for these!!! The idea with these is to upcycle old shirts you may not wear as often as you’d like! Ideally the shirts sent to me should be at least a size Large since they go across your back now instead of your chest! However in most cases we can make the smaller sizes work so please inquire about the shirt you’d like to use! Shipping cost of the shirt you want to use to my address is covered by the customer.

PAYMENT-

I do accept split payments!! HOWEVER, I will not start sourcing fabrics until a deposit is made and I will not ship until the payment has been received in full!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING

I have created these guidelines to make the process as elegant and graceful as the kimonos are and to relieve confusion and miscommunication on both ends!

ALSO, if you come at me with any rudeness I will not be willing to work with you. Money can’t buy peace of mind and I only create with love and good intentions so I cannot make anything for anyone that jeopardizes these values for me.

99.9% of everyone I work with is a total angel so THANK YOU to everyone who comes to me with the willingness to collaborate! I love you all so much and am eternally grateful for your love, support and trust!

XOXO,

Gabi <3
